The Piedmont Recreation Department's Walking on Wednesdays group will celebrate its
one-year anniversary next Wednesday, April 17. The stolid group has been walking rain and
shine for one year.
Walking on Wednesdays was launched on April 18, 2018 with a walk through the city led
by Gail Lombardi, president of the Piedmont Historical Society. Gail will return to Walking on Wednesdays next week, Wednesday April 17, to conduct another walking tour
and describe some of Piedmont's historical homes.
As an additional, special way to celebrate the anniversary and the community they enjoy, walkers are invited to bring a bag lunch, or buy one at Mulberry's and have a picnic lunch together at the conclusion of the walk.
